Elk Hide Drum-Making Workshop - At this workshop you will make a 15-inch, round or 8-sided, hand drum from a pre-made kit. Cost = $100 (Date and place negotiable; travel cost not included; 3-person minimum required).
Bring Your Own Hide ("BYOH") Workshop - This workshop provides you with the opportunity to use your own hide and learn the techniques of cutting, lacing and stretching your hand drum. The rawhide preparation will be performed by the workshop facilitator. Cost = $95 (By appointment only.)
Do It Yourself ("BYOH") Workshop - Hands on from start to finish! Working in the Red Eagle Drums' shop with your own hide. The facilitator will assist you through each step involved in the entire drum-making process. Cost = $30 (shop supplies) plus $10/hr. (Approximately 5 shop hours over the course of 4-7 days.)
Hide Painting Workshop - Personalize your drum by painting the hide with your favorite design. This workshop provides you with the opportunity to learn the techniques and perform the step-by-step process of drum painting. Bring your own drum. Art materials will be supplied. Cost = $50
 "Spiral Weave" Beading Workshop - Facilitated by MoonBeads. In this workshop you will bead a spiral rope. You will have a choice from making a bracelet, anklet, or necklace. All beading supplies are included. |
